The heat of summer in non-air-conditioned closets will start to dry out the skins of your precious fur items causing them to become dry and brittle. Fur that is cleaned annually and kept out of the heat during the summer will last much longer than those coats that are not.
In a first step, the fur garment is tumbled with corn cobs to loosen and remove all soil. In a second step, the fur is vacuumed to remove all corn cobs from both the fur as well as the lining and finally, the fur is glazed to reintroduce oils to the fur as well as realign the hairs of the fur. The glazing process gives a natural sheen to the hairs.
So please try to protect your investment and make sure your fur is cleaned every year and spends the hot summer in the cold.
